A Fire in the Sky
An early February trip from Levi to Pello began on as a cold and cloudy day. In the afternoon as the clouds began to break, the sun outlined Yllas fell with a wash of pink. Over the next hour the sun's light grew more intense until it was a fire in the sky.
As the afternoon wore on, the vibrant reds and oranges turned into a deep blood red. Finally the twilight crept in to soften the brilliance of the day.
