Lapland Winter Holidays in Levi Finland

While Levi is usually considered a winter skiing destination, I first traveled to Levi for the Saresto Open fencing competition. It had been 25 years since I had been on skis so I decided to save my body for fencing. There's more than enough to see and do without ever going down a ski slope. In my visits to Levi Finland I have explored 380 km by snowmobile, 11 km by reindeer sled, 10 km by dog sled, 30 km by hot air balloon and numerous more by car and snowshoe in the west central part of Kittila.
