Benjamin Hull and
Sarah Hutchinson
Benjamin Hull was born 27 August 1740. Benjamin died 10 November 1832 in Lincoln Co., NC, at 92 years of age.
He married Sarah Hutchinson in 1772. Sarah was born 1749. Sarah died 2 August 1829 in Lincoln Co., NC, at 80 years of age.
Sarah and Benjamin originally may have been from the Piscatawaytown, New Jersey area. The Hulls in that area were descended from the Rev. Joseph Hull of Oyster River, NH. There are also Hutchinson families in the area at the time of Sarah's birth. Some family stories say Benjamin was from Virginia and was a bodyguard for Gen. Washington during the Revolution. The two stories are definitely not mutually exclusive.
Benjamin Hull and Sarah Hutchinson had the following children:
i. Mary Hull was born about 1773(?). She married Henry Mull 9 Feb 1809 in Lincoln Co., NC. They may be the Henry Mull family in the 1850 Catawba Co., NC census.

He died 4 Apr 1852 in Lincoln Co., NC at 72 years of age. Abner married Elizabeth Parker in Lincoln Co., NC, 2 Sep 1795.

Selina Stacia 23 Sep 1823.iv. Richard Hull was born about 1776. He died 30 December 1838. Richard married twice. He married first to Catherine Jeams 2 Nov 1805 in Lincoln Co., NC. He married second to Nancy Ann Stockstill 1 Apr 1807 in Madison Co., KY. Richard and Nancy eventually settled in Perry Co., IL.

William Hull was born about 1785. v. Major Hull was born in Lincoln Co., NC 11 Jun 1790. Major died 9 Feb 1874 in Lincoln Co., NC at 83 years of age. He married Margaret Gross in Lincoln Co., NC, 9 Feb 1824. Peggy was born abt 1800 in PA. She died 28 Apr 1870 in Lincoln Co., NC.
