Joseph C. Eaker and
Ann Willis

Joseph C. Eaker  was born in NC 18 January 1826.  Joseph died 26 May 1891 in Cleveland Co., NC, at 65 years of age.  
He married Ann Willis.  Ann was born in NC 1 November 1814.  Ann was the daughter of Jacob Willis and Lydia Black.  Ann died 11 April 1918 in Cleveland Co., NC, at 103 years of age.
Joseph and Ann lived in a house on a hill above what is now Cedar Park, land which came through Ann's family.  When Joseph's father, Peter, died, Joseph and his brother Jesse each bought out the other heirs to divide their father's land between themselves.  
Joseph is considered the founder of Clover Hill Methodist Church between Polkville and Casar, NC.  The arched stained glass window over the entry is dedicated in his memory.

     Joseph C. Eaker and Ann Willis had the following children:

i.  Nancy Catherine Eaker was born 12 Feb 1851.  Catherine died 9 Mar 1931 at 80 years of age.  She married  John Warlick.  John was the son of Valentine Warlick and Mary Watson.
ii.   Jacob F. Eaker was born 12 February 1855.
